My son is 2 and has been diagnosed with asthma. We think it is triggered by allergies. I have read that some people have gotten rid of asthma by cutting out dairy, though Iapos;m a little anxious to try that without more information. The Dr. Wants to put him on Zyrtec daily, and I want him to feel better, but I would like to find a natural way of combating the problem if that works for him. His allergy symptoms themselves are not that bad and are pretty manageable. The only problem is his asthma attacks seem to be getting more frequent and severe. Does anyone have experience with asthma, or information that might point me in the right direction? Also, for those who donapos;t consume dairy products, do you have any pointers if I decide to take him off dairy? Is soy milk the best alternative to cowapos;s milk, or is something else like nut or rice milk?

So, monday was a real pisser of a day. Stressed out all day waiting to have the appointment. Got there and they asked for the MRI. I told them I had lost it but was told I didnapos;t have to bring it. Anyway, the PA evalapos;d me only to tell me the report says my disk protrusion is to the right side; not the left. So they are not sure why I am so uncomfortable over there. Scheduled me for an emg today and xray and another eval of all that stuff with a surgeon. The EMG sucked ASS and hurt like a mutha. Results? Perfectly normal. Xray taken, they ask for MRIapos;s again. Have to drive over to the MRI center to pick up another disk and then back to the surgeons. They review all my stuff and the surgeon really, very detailed walks me thru everything. My 1 "major" herniated disk isnapos;t even close to that much of a problem where surgery would be a viable option. She thinks that a different PT approach would better straighten me out along with injections into my 4-5 facet joint.

So, thatapos;s the plan this time around. She did say, that the only reason I may not want to ride my horses is cus the pain is too much. But, I am not causing injury or any more damaage then normal wear and tear. So, she said ride away. Now, of course Iapos;m going to go about this smartly and ease my way back into it. Lots of easy going walkies and nothing stressful. Hopefully, anytime on Banu complies.

So, i did ride. Put the bareback pad on Brady and walked around the paddock for a bit. Since Banu was stuck like glue to us, I "hooked" her into us and we went out on the road for a walk. It felt fine... I was and am sore. But, now that I know itapos;s ok then Iapos;m going to handle this differently.

But like I said...as nice as a house would be, Iapos;m fine in the apartment. I donapos;t care where we live as long as weapos;re all together. Iapos;m pretty sure weapos;re screwed financially after we move out anyway because of how much the dogs destroyed this place. I keep meaning to look through our contract to see what they do in regards to damage. Thereapos;s a lot of it. *sigh*

Dadapos;s doing well. He finally had food yesterday. Heapos;s also been up and moving. He says he thinks heapos;ll be going home on Thursday but idk what heapos;s basing that on. Heapos;s not so cranky...probably because he finally got to eat. Iapos;d be cranky too if I wasnapos;t allowed to eat I probably would have been worse lol

Blood pressure Mine has been high at my last 2 appointments. Iapos;m trying to find a way to manage my blood pressure. I already donapos;t eat a lot of salt/sodium so what else can I do? Do I need to freakinapos; completely cut out salt? My doctor is not helpful at all...I need to get on switching doctors. But anyway...I tried looking it up but the only things it said to do pretty much were exercise and cut back on salt/sodium. I donapos;t do the exercising but the salt/sodium I have always been good about. I wonder what else I could do.

Well, Iapos;m going to end with that because all the little ones have been asleep for about an hour now and Iapos;d like to try to get some sleep in too. Lol...look at those tongues in my icon. My dogs are silly :)
